Rainforest

In land, visit the rainforest, embark on the scenic Fig Tree Drive or take Antigua & Nevis July 2007 007a kayaking trip through the magical mangroves. The varied local cuisine is well worth sampling: mouth-watering Creole seafood; fungi and pepperpot, a delicious stew; and the freshest indigenous fruits including mangoes, papayas and pineapples. A weekly ‘not to be missed event’ is the Sunday barbecue party at Shirley Heights, as well as the flamboyant carnivals in July and August.
